Photostitching, or creating an image composed of other many images, can be a bit similar to taking shots on film; you wouldn't really know what you'd get until you process it.
A good example would be this 7-shot photo that I took from a wedding of one of my friends in a charismatic community...
It started with a shot at the couple along with some of their friends and family, who were all posing in front of the photographers in the middle. Then I started shooting successive shots from there all the way to the left, not realizing that Laura, a good friend of the couple, was standing beside me.
The final photo wasn't really that perfect, but at least four memorable moments are lovingly captured: the smiling bride and groom, the photographers enjoying what they were doing (note their smiles), some of the principal sponsors looking at the scene in front of them, and of course, Laura enjoying the lovely sight. ;)
